The present-day Cherry Hill Farmhouse was constructed in 1845 and is decorated and furnished with period items to reflect the life of the Blaisdell family, the owners of the Farmhouse during the Civil War era.  In the warmer months, the Farmhouse is open for public tours on Saturday mornings, and many events are held at the Farmhouse throughout the year. The Cherry Hill Barn was constructed circa 1857 and seventy percent of the building is original. The Barn contains an extensive collection of period tools, machines, and farm implements of the type in use on mid-19th century farms.

Cherry Hill Park has been described as the “crown jewel” of the City’s park system and as such it helps define the community. The park is invaluable to the City, as it is indeed the center of, and focal point for, most of the City’s special events and activities. It is the most heavily used park in the City of Falls Church because of its central location and many amenities.

Hours on the W&OD Trail vary depending on which portion is used. W&OD Trail hours are from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., from Shirlington in Arlington County, all the way to the western town limit of Herndon in Fairfax County. Beyond that, users must obey dusk mandates.

Often called the skinniest park in Virginia, Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Railroad Regional Park is a paved trail between Shirlington and Purcellville, Virginia. Run, cycle or skate the 45-mile route along the former roadbed of the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, which runs through the urban heartland and into the Virginia countryside. Equestrians can ride the adjacent 32-mile gravel horse trail. The W&OD trail has multiple parking areas, enabling you to jump on and off the trail at various points.

The State Theatre is a restaurant and concert venue in Falls Church, Virginia. Built in 1936, the venue operated as a movie theater until 1988. The theatre reopened in 1999 as an events hall and music theatre. The closest Metro station is the East Falls Church Metro station.
